Booking Information & Invoices
We collect details of all booking details made to our company within a 12 month diary hand written diary and a dealer management system. We record the name, phone number, vehicle registration number, the purpose of the appointment, the date of the appointment and an estimate of costs or quote where required. The system is digital and paper based and the diaries are destroyed after 7 years. Upon booking we will ask your preferred method of communication (e.g "Can I please take a best contact number")this is you - the customer, consenting to be contacted by Melksham Carcare Centre.
Why we need to contact you
The information we require e.g registration, address, mobile number etc is so we can ensure a smooth service for both you as the customer and our workshop here. Providing contact details means we can try and ensure you do not miss a MOT or Service by sending you a reminder. Taking your registration means we can pre-order parts and is also a legal requirement if you are booked in for an MOT.
Quotations
We can provide quotations and more often then not these are correct. However if the quotation requires further investigation or further work etc then we will always call for approval before going ahead.
Data Sharing
Melksham Carcare Centre does not share data with any other businesses
Marketing
Data may be used to communicate with you - our customers about MOT expiry dates, service reminders and promotional information relevant to the services we offer. These communications are included as they are classified as being of Legitimate Interest to the recipient.
Payment
We will not release a vehicle without payment being made after the work has been carried out.

We take cash and card (not American Express). We can take cheque however the cheque would need to clear before release of any vehicle. We can also accept BAC's or bank transfer
